New Stuff for Heaven!

Hi guys,

been very quite AGAIN, but I just thought that I would let you know that I have put some more stock into the shop Handmade Heaven in Ipswich. I have been pretty stretch for time at the moment so have only been making thing when I have spare time. However, I am really pleased with the new things I have made so why not go along to have a look if you are in the area. Enjoy! :)

Hey all, been very quiet recently..been very busy doing other things...unfortunatly! But now I have a spare moment or two, I am starting work on some new ideas.

This new Owl I made for a friend of mines son for his 1st birthday, but I am thinking I will make a few more and see how they go?? Also I made this coat for my son Finn and everyone who has seen it has gone mad for it, so I am in the process of sourcing some more wool fabric, as the fabric I used was just some stuff I had left over from a coat I made for myself years ago! It is so soft and gorgeous, I am hoping I will find some the same or similar??? So that is where I am at at the moment, but more things are in the pipeline just waiting to have the time to be able to produce them.

Working on some marketing cards that I will give with my items that I sell, a little extra thing to make things a little bit extra special. Also each toy will come with a little paragraph about what the toy likes to do and what they like, just to add to the imagination of the child recieving the toy...anyway we will see how we go!

Hey ok, so I am a little late off the mark, but I have to tell you all that I have put some of my things into a fabulous shop in Ipswich, QLD a couple of weeks ago! Handmade Heaven. All appears to be going very well too, so I had better get cracking on making more stuff before the month is up or I won't have anthing left in there!!!! If you are in Ipswich or just passing through, then go and check out Liesa's shop it is in a really cool building, The Old Flour Mill, 231 Brisbane Street Ipswich. all handpainted on plywood, using acrylic paints, and finished with a water based varnish...

Crane Chain

I know I have been quiet for awhile, but have had so many things going on at home that i have not had alot of time to do other things, but now I am back and raring to go. Frist up, here is my new item... a crane chain...made up of paper cranes, lovingly folded by me and beads on a string. Tey make a lovely addition to any room, but would look really lovely in a baby's room. Hope that you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them! Great to be back at it. More soon!!!

YAY! Computer fixed....didn't cost me that much...happy!

Now back to it. Have just added some new items to my etsy shop. Some Burp cloths. A friend of mine with a new baby asked me to make some because a. she wanted some in nice fabrics, b. she didn't want to have to get a bib with it, c. she didn't want to pay the earth for one, and d. she wanted one made in Australia. So I think I have met all of the criteria for her and as I said you can take a look for yourself on my etsy site.

She bought the car one and the echino owl and tiger one. Taking them to her next week. Any excuse to see that new little bubba of hers!

Here's my new toy that I made on the weekend....squeezed in somewhere....it is a great toy for a baby boy. A car! What else!

Made out of denim with a striped corduroy back and felt detail, it is lovely and soft and fun to play with.

T-shirts!!!!!!

Hey there all! Hope you are having a wonderful day. Just wanted to let oyu now about the exciting news.....I now have t-shirts on offer. My toys that I have made, I have taken phtos of them and put them on t-shirts. Well I am not putting them on the t-shirts....Redbubble is! Yes, if you go to my store on www.redbubble.com and go to 'fabart', then click on the t-shirt tab, you will find my lovely t-shirts....you can pick the colour t-shirt you want etc......
YAY! So very excited about this as it took me most of yesterday to work out how to remove the background from my first picture!!! But I didmanage to get it done. So now I just have to work on doing some more!

YAY! I am a member of the Kookie Kids Team! Have to set up the links and everything yet, but I am excited! They are a team that is for people making handmade items for kids under 1 year. It is a great way for people who are indtersted in that kind of thing to find out about me and my shop. There are so many fabulous people on there doing fabulous things. Haven't been to all of the shops there yet, but they sure look dangerous for the buyer in me!

Starting out

Ok, so here we are. I have my etsy shop set up and I now have my new blog site! How exciting! I now have 25 items up for sale on my shop and alot of interest so all is looking up.
I made a new toy on the weekend, a ticking cat. He is made out of ticking fabric and has felt details...he is so cute.
Yesterday I put him up on my shop and in a couple of minutes he was sold, so I was so happy that someone else thought he was as cute as I did. He is off to a lovely home in California!!! YAY!
Anyway, this weekend I will be makingmore toys as I am waiting on my partner to bring me some more bags of stuffing....so keep an eye out. :o)

I am a trained costume/fashion designer. I used to have a shop in Paddington in Brisbane, Queensland, but my partner and I have now moved to our house near Byron Bay in NSW. We have a beautiful baby boy who loving growing up here. Before I was pregnant I was working on making baby clothes and toys and selling them through shops around Brisbane and Byron. Now I have set up my own etsy shop and am trying to do it myself. So here I go with my label...fabbabyfab.
